How can we collect overseas invoices and pay foreign suppliers?
Trend Digital lets a trading business collect buyer payments and pay suppliers through one partner. Buyers pay into supported receiving accounts, including virtual IBANs where they are enabled for your business. Trend converts the amount you need at a quoted rate and pays your supplier’s verified bank account in a supported currency. You can use fiat throughout. Each collection and payment has a transaction record for reconciliation.
Payments across the order cycle.
Buyer collections
- SITUATION
- An exporter invoices an overseas buyer for a shipment.
- PAYMENT NEED
- The buyer pays in its own currency, such as EUR, and the exporter needs to match the receipt to the invoice.
- TREND'S ROLE
- Business Payments and Virtual IBANs give the buyer supported bank payment details and connect the receipt to your records.
- BUSINESS OUTCOME
- Finance sees which invoice has been paid and converts the proceeds when needed.
Supplier deposits
- SITUATION
- An importer places an order, and the supplier asks for a deposit before production.
- PAYMENT NEED
- The deposit is due in the supplier’s currency, often before the importer’s own customers have paid.
- TREND'S ROLE
- Trend quotes the conversion and pays the deposit to the supplier’s verified bank account through Fiat Payouts.
- BUSINESS OUTCOME
- The order moves forward with a known cost and a payment record to share with the supplier.
Final invoice balances
- SITUATION
- The goods are ready and the final balance of the supplier invoice falls due.
- PAYMENT NEED
- A larger balance needs a usable quote and clear settlement timing.
- TREND'S ROLE
- Business Payments, or our OTC desk for larger amounts, converts the funds and coordinates settlement to the supplier.
- BUSINESS OUTCOME
- The business pays the balance with the quote confirmed before funds move and reconciles it against the invoice.
From buyer payment to supplier payment.
